What a week...

Well, this week has been absolutely crazy. Austin is spending today and tomorrow in Houston, so I've got the house to myself for the night and until I pick him up tomorrow night around eight. Work has been... exhausting. I've been spending twelve to thirteen hours a day at work and it is extremely draining. Since my boss has been in town, its been one of those crazy and demanding weeks where I just want to relax when I get home.

My plan for tonight is to spend the night cleaning the apartment and doing laundry. I was going to get groceries, but I think not. I've been meaning to get groceries all week, but running off of four hours of sleep each night is not going to do it for me. Sleep is important. So that is something I also plan on doing tonight. Getting some sleep. I think I may have to treat myself to a pair of shoes this weekend. Either shoes or a new desk. I really do need a new desk. I really do need to work on the invitations too. So I'll probably go with the desk.

Although, I did see a great pair of Jimmy Choo's the other day... Just in case anyone feels the need to buy me a pair of shoes, just click here

Guest list

Well, as the Big Day draws ever nearer, Austin and I have really started to crack down on our guest list. I know, you wish you could do something as exciting as trying to figure out every person in your life that you want to spend at your wedding. Lucky for me, I can easily look around the building where I work to figure out who wants to come since half of the building employees and contractors are excited to come. Austin has it a little harder. He has to try to figure out who he would still want to invite from college and from work. Luckily, his parents have already given us their lists of people they would like to come, so that cuts out a huge part of the list that I thought would be a pain. Who knew that the inlaws would be better about getting their finalized list than we would be?!

As promised...

As promised, here are a couple pictures of my dress! I went with my future mother in law, Linda, to pick it up from Alfred Angelo yesterday and she was able to get a couple pictures for everyone to see! I must say I'm very happy to have a FMIL that I get along with! She was almost as excited as I was to finally see the colors we had picked out. I'm also very happy to say that I'm not going to need to get it altered too much!Since I promised Austin I would wear flats, it will need to be taken up about an inch, but nothing too drastic. All of the salespeople at Alfred Angelo were also kind enough to show me about four different ways that it can be bustled, and I'm relieved to say that the back will still look beautiful when bustled during the reception!

One more thing checked off the to-do list

So, I've booked AH Makeup Artistry to do the makeup for me and my bridesmaids and maid of honor. She will also take care of my bridal portrait makeup. Its nice to start back up on my to-do list and be able to check another item off! I'm still trying to decide if I want to spend the extra money for the airbrush makeup, but I do have a couple days to decide. Now I need to look into hair... That might be a bit tougher to decide on, but I think Megan or Amanda might have someone that they would recommend. At least I'm hoping they do!

The next thing I need to start looking into is a florist. Where to start with that I have no idea.... I've got my heart set on blue hydrangeas, hopefully it wont be too far out of my price range! If it is, I'll be making the bouquets and boutonnieres... And that might take some time to learn how to do it!Wish me luck!

My dress is in!

I just got word from Alfred Angelo that my dress has just arrived! After waiting so many months, I'm excited to be able to see it again, this time in the right colors. I'm hoping that Austin's mom and I will be able t make it over there sometime this weekend to pick it up... I'll be sure to post some pictures when we have time to pick it up.

Now that the dress is in, I really feel like I need to step it up and work on more wedding related things... I feel like I really have been slacking on the planning lately. But no more!

Get Him to the Greek

This past weekend, Austin and I watched "Get Him to the Greek". It was a hilarious movie that I recommend to everyone out there. Its not quite a sequel to "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", in the sense that it follows Aldous Snow and his journey. Russell Brand is a genius of comedy, as is Jonah Hill. Oh, and P. Diddy is in it. And Aziz Anasari has a small role in it. And who doesn't love his stand up or his role on Parks & Rec? And Tom Felton has a cameo appearance.  Anyone that has met me, or followed me on Twitter, knows I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, and an even bigger Tom Felton fan. So seeing Tom play himself in an already hilarious movie was the icing on the cake.

So I guess my point here is this: Go see "Get Him to the Greek". Now. You wont regret it.

And the winner is... Spain!

Well, the World Cup has come to a close once more, and the winner this time around is Spain! I must say, it was one of the most boring matches I have ever watched. I think that watching the third place match between Germany and Uruguay was a much more interesting and fun match. But, it is what it is... At least Holland didn't win. After they beat Brasil, I knew I didn't want them to win, so at least that came through for me!

Now I guess life is going to get back to normal at work, with me actually spending more time working and not as much time watching the matches at work. And now, I will also have time to get back to the wedding planning!
